Les Flocons de Sel à Megève

Among the escapades that we love to do in our beautiful region, there is one that stands out from the others by its total change of scenery and the warmth of the welcome in this wonderful site in the middle of nature

For the 2nd time, we meet at Flocons de Sel to celebrate our crepe anniversary (and yes, already 39 years of marriage!)


Arrival at 5 pm. The luggage handler offers to take our car keys to bring our luggage directly to our room

The hotel complex includes six rooms, two private chalets, two suites and two flats.

We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious mazot

(last time we had taken a suite with a fireplace at the end of the bed)

We enjoyed the terrace in the middle of nature and a cold drink offered by the house.

After a short tour of the relaxation area, the spa, sauna and swimming pool

Here we are on the terrace of the establishment to taste the house aperitif and its appetizers

Then we went to the table, where we chose a discovery menu and a tasting of several glasses of wine, selected by the sommelier.

"Chef Emmanuel Renaut delivers a cuisine that is as subtle as it is inventive, in keeping with the numerous references on the wine list. The finesse of the products, the mastery of cooking and the combination of textures... All of this is combined with subtle seasonings to the benefit of the essential, the product" (extract from the official website).

At our table, we receive a visit from Kristine, the chef's wife, who is always very pleasant and smiling

At the end of the service, the chef and his team had prepared several surprises for our wedding anniversary

And then, before returning to our mazot, we were welcomed by chef Emmanuel Renaut in his kitchen. What a privilege!


After a good night and a wonderful breakfast, a one-hour massage did us a world of good.

We regularly visit restaurants and also some great chefs.

Les Flocons de Sel remains one of our favourites!

We could write long sentences, an endless blog, telling all the emotions, the discoveries, .... of this place, but the easiest way is to go there and tell us about it!


Don't forget to go for a walk in the centre of Megève and why not, have dinner at the Flocons Village.

We had the opportunity to eat there twice (including once at the Food Truck during the lockdown)
